Wyangala Dam Public School is a two teacher school situated 40kms east of Cowra on the Lachlan River.

Pupils live on small properties in the surrounding rural district or reside in the villages of Darbys Falls and Wyangala Dam.

The school is supported by a very keen and energetic P&C who fund raise and assist the school in many ways.

The school is the focus for the local community and surrounding districts and is held in very high esteem by all.

The school's facilities are made available to the Community throughout the year.

Many former students make use of the Library and Computers to further their studies.

Pupils and staff benefit from having separate rooms for Art/Craft, Library, Sports store and a large safe play area. The main play area has been further enhanced by the erection of "Shade-Sails" which are both aesthetic and protect the pupils from possible danger from the sun.

The school promotes Environmental Education with many programs addressing environmental issues.

The school Plant Nursery, run by senior pupils, provides trees and shrubs to parents and the local community, allowing pupils to learn about and develop a positive attitude to the environment.

The aim at our school is to promote Excellence in Small School's Education and to provide a quality education so that all pupils reach their full potential in an enjoyable and fulfilling way.
